Assessing the effect of anaemia during pregnancy on the brain development in infants, using MRI

This is a sub study of the PANDA trial, which assesses what is the best dose of iron supplements to take during pregnancy to reduce the chances of developing aneamia. In this sub study, we would like to obtain some extra detail about how the iron supplements taken might have impacted brain development in infants. Iron is really important for brain development. Some studies suggest that iron levels in early life can affect brain activity and how well different areas of the brain become connected with each other. We would like to build on this knowledge.
