We are investigating how breathing and brain activity develop in premature-born infants during their time in hospital and how this relates to their development at two years of age. Infants who are born between 28-32 weeks’ gestation are eligible to take part. We record their vital signs throughout their time in the Newborn Care Unit and their brain activity once a week using EEG. At two years of age, we are assessing development using the Bayley Scale of Infant and Toddler Development.
